Course Introduction/ Synopsis:
Is your organization ready for the Flu season? Between now and November the H1N1 or Swine Flu virus is projected to affect half of the country’s population, hospitalize 1.8 million people and kill 90,000.

To ensure your operations continue during such an outbreak you and your staff will require special planning and training. This is especially important if your operations require close contact with fellow employees or the public.

This exclusive CDC and OSHA Compliant Training and Respirator Fit Testing session provides you and your staff with key information on:

• Best practices in business continuity planning

• CDC recommended airborne pathogen prevention strategies

• CDC recommended infection control principles

• OSHA compliant respirator training

As an added bonus each participant will be provided with and OSHA fit tested on an N-95 respirator.

All attendees will receive a certificate of training, a Flu prevention handout for work and home, an N-95 respirator for their use, and an OSHA respirator fit testing certificate.

Need more information on the Swine Flu/H1N1?
The U.S. is preparing to launch a swine flu inoculation campaign so the numbers released on August 25, 2009 seem dire.

1.8 million Americans could be hospitalized with about half dying under a worst-case scenario, reports the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST).

Generally seasonal flu can prove the most dangerous to those over the age of 65, but in this case, the H1N1 virus has affected a large number of children and young adults who have not survived other flu seasons and therefore do not have a reserve of immunity built up in their bodies.

Expect the peak season to hit about October 15th- which happens to be the same date a vaccine is expected to be delivered.

While 120 million doses were to be ready October 15th, production delays have federal health officials now saying expect only 45 million to be ready by then, reports ABC News.

ABC reports several reputable health experts, not part of the federal government, believe the estimates on the numbers, though scary, may be quite accurate.

§ CANCELLATIONS- You may cancel up to fourteen (14) days prior to the start date of class and will be reimbursed or rescheduled without penalty. Cancellations made within fourteen (14) days to the class date are subject to a 50% cancellation fee.

§ NO SHOWS- Sorry, but students who are registered for a class and do not show will be assessed a 100% no show fee.

§ RESCHEDULES- Students may reschedule a class without penalty by notifying Safety Links Inc at 407-760-6170 at least fourteen (14) days prior to the class date. If you need to cancel or reschedule your class date within the fourteen (14) day period, you may send a substitute from your organization to avoid any fees provided that the person meets class prerequisites.

§ REIMBURSEMENTS- Safety Links Inc. reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any training course. If a class is cancelled or rescheduled, registrants will be notified seven (7) days in advance of the first class date. Should Safety Links Inc. cancel a course, our liability is limited to the return or credit of the registration fee.
